Eligibility criteria
There are three routes into the diploma programme. Find the one that matches your qualification.

First year (1st semester) — 3-year Diploma
Pass in the 10th class examination with a pass in Mathematics, Science and English from any recognised School Education Board.

Lateral entry (2nd year / 3rd semester)
Pass in 10th standard plus a two-year I.T.I. course completed after the matriculation examination.
03
Direct admission to second year
12th Science with a Vocational/Technical subject, or 10th plus two years of I.T.I. Remaining vacant seats are filled on relative merit.
04
Selection basis
Admission to the institution is based on the relative merit of the candidates.
Also accepted
- 10+2 vocational examination in various branches, from any institute in Karnataka or another state.
- 10+2 with Science from any institute in Karnataka or another state.
- Pass in Matric or equivalent, having passed English, Mathematics and Science.
